Product Overview

The LANE high speed disperser is a top-entry, hydraulically lifted mixing machine designed for fertilizer service. A motor drives a vertical shaft fitted with a specially shaped dispersion disc. When the disc rotates at high speed, it creates strong shear, circulation, and vortex flow inside the tank, which disperses and dissolves the fertilizer components.

The machine is built for the corrosive nature of fertilizer liquids. Shafts, dispersion discs, and all wetted parts are available in SS304 or SS316L stainless steel, and the tank can be supplied as part of the machine package.

Working Principle

The working principle of a high speed disperser is based on high-speed rotation and hydraulic shear.

1. The dispersion disc is lowered into the tank by the hydraulic lift system.
2. The motor drives the disc at high speed, creating strong centrifugal force.
3. Material moves outward from the disc and is pulled into a vortex that circulates downward and upward in the tank.
4. Particles are crushed, dispersed, and dissolved through shear, impact, and friction between particles and the liquid.
5. The vortex keeps the batch uniform and prevents undissolved solids from settling.
6. After the batch reaches the target consistency, the disc is lifted and the product is discharged for filtration, storage, or filling.

For suspension fertilizers, a slow-speed anchor agitator can be added so the batch stays uniform when the high-speed disc is stopped.
